Design for exhibition on a canal boat in Kings Cross
Voices of the Water was a 2 year HLF funded project run by environmental education charity Global Generation. It involved community events and workshops exploring the theme of water from cultural, health & wellbeing and environmental perspectives.
I was asked to creative direct the celebratory exhibition on board a canal boat (aka floating garden) on the Regents Canal in North London. We selected artworks, photos and quotes from the participants, and documented the process and outcomes of this special project.
The visual identity was co-created with a young co-lead from the team. It featured illustrative patterns with soft shapes and watery hues relevant to this project’s theme, plus a bespoke handwritten font.
Signage was printed on 100% recycled corrugated cardboard, FSC marine plywood or hand painted on reclaimed wood.
